Saad Shahzad Will Share Expertise on Selling Cloud Services to SMBs

LOS ANGELES, CA & PHOENIX, AZ – April 05, 2013 – dinCloud, a cloud transformation company, today announced that its Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) Saad Shahzad will present on “How to Deliver Hosted VDI Without Building a Data Center” at Ingram Micro’s 2013 “All Sky, No Limit” Cloud Summit, April 8-10, at the JW Marriot Desert Ridge Resort in Phoenix, Arizona. Shahzad’s presentation takes place on Tuesday, April 9, from 3-3:45pm.

“The cloud services marketplace is exploding and while the numbers might vary, all research analysts and industry pundits agree that the opportunity will be over $50 billion in just a few years’ time – that’s a huge marketplace that barely existed a decade ago,” said Shahzad. “dinCloud believes that SMB customers have always relied on local MSPs and VARs and will continue to do so. The session will explain how channel partners can become a trusted advisor by selling cloud services to this market. This includes hearing from an Ingram Micro channel partner on how SMBs are using cloud services and how to position and sell cloud services in order to become part of this rapidly growing market.”

Celebrating its fourth year, the Ingram Micro Cloud Summit is recognized as the North American IT channel’s largest cloud-focused partner event. With an estimated attendance of more than 800, Ingram Micro’s 2013 Cloud Summit will attract many of the IT industry’s top vendors, as well as managed service providers (MSPs) and cloud services innovators. “The Ingram Micro Cloud Summit is the place to be for channel partners and technology vendors who are focused on cloud and see the limitless and lucrative services potential around cloud computing,” says Renee Bergeron, vice president of managed services and cloud computing, Ingram Micro Services Division, North America. “We’re thrilled to have dinCloud join us at the 2013 Cloud Summit, with Saad Shahzad, CSO sharing his market perspective and expertise around selling cloud services to SMBs.”

In his April 1st Forrester Research, Inc. blog entry titled, “Has VDI Peaked? A Change in the Adoption Drivers Sheds New Light, and New Life,” senior analyst, David Johnson writes, “The number one barrier to client virtualization adoption is a lack of internal resources and skills. Also high on the list is immaturity of the technologies. However, as we see with other cloud and SaaS technologies, these concerns can go away when a provider has the expertise and infrastructure already, and the service is easy to consume and affordable.”

dinCloud’s hosted virtual desktop (HVD)  offering is currently available via the Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace, a transactional, online marketplace where Ingram Micro’s channel including MSPs, solution providers and IT cloud integrators, can shop, procure, provision, and obtain invoices for their cloud services directly from Ingram Micro.
