66% of Professionals Say They Would be More Productive Working Remotely

Taking a peak at the sixth annual public survey of more than 5,500 respondents, we saw that the majority of workers are of the opinion that the office is not a place where you do your most productive work. 66% of professionals think they would be more productive working remotely than in a traditional office.

Asking the respondents to choose the most important factors while considering a job with flexible working options, work-life balance (72%), flexible schedule and salary (69%), telecommuting (60%), meaningful work (57%) and work schedule (48%) were among the top five.

Gallup found out that, from 2012 to 2016, the number of employees working remotely increased from 39% to 43%. And the trend is expected to increase. In order to retain the best talent, organizations will have to look into offering remote working options to their employees.

Working Remotely with a Secure Hosted Cloud

In order to cater to the modern workforce, enabling and supporting remote workers is a challenge most IT professionals understand. By using hosted virtual desktops (DaaS) as one of the major forms of achieving maturity in digital transformation, organizations are making remote work more productive and efficient. By returning a big portion of employees lives to them by enabling more freedom and flexibility in their work habits, organizations are enabling business growth.

Working Remotely with a Secure Hosted Cloud

Security

Cloud technology backs up and saves confidential data on servers and not on actual devices, providing an additional layer of security. By leveraging Desktop as a Service (DaaS) and Application Publishing, data and business critical applications are accessible regardless of the employee’s location.

Zero Stress and Employee Engagement

With Desktop as a Service (DaaS) workers can have the same familiar applications and desktop personalization across multiple devices and locations.

Encouraging remote working opportunities in the organization increases employee engagement, improves productivity and help decrease absenteeism. Having a better work-life balance and less stress makes employee engagement initiatives more successful.

Cost Savings

Cloud technology and working remotely are a balanced combination when it comes to saving costs and protecting company data. By moving your IT infrastructure to the cloud, you will slash overhead costs with no need for software, physical servers, annual upgrades, software licensing and maintenance fees. Additionally, remote workers also reduce overhead costs and expenditure due to rent and property.
